The EH-MD3 three-channel detector is a handheld device that combines three types of detection channels, namely electromagnetic device detection, metal detection and ferromagnetic object detection.
The Secutron EH-MD3 detector resembles a handheld metal detector, allowing you to search without arousing suspicion in the person being inspected. Using the detector is very simple. Insert 4 AA batteries into the detector, turn on the detector, and approach places where spy devices could be hiding, such as ventilation grilles, cabinets, drawers, or other suspicious places. There are three independently operating scales on the detector's handle where you can easily monitor the strength of the detected signal. The closer the detector is to the detected object, the higher the level of flashing LED indicators on the handle should be. To ensure maximum sensitivity when using the EH-MD3, TVs, displays, and other devices that can generate strong magnetic fields within 2 meters of the detector should be boff. The detection distance may be reduced.
3 Different detection channels
The electronic device detection channel can locate various switched-on electronic devices, namely digital timers, remote controls, photo and audio/video recording devices, laptops, GPS tracking devices, mobile phones (even in sleep mode), etc. The principle of operation is based on detecting electromagnetic pulses generated by these devices.
The ferromagnetic object detection channel is based on the measurement of the magnetic field generated by the ground and distorted by objects made of ferromagnetic materials, which are often part of e.g., loudspeakers. It is thus possible to detect phones even when they are switched off. A ferromagnetic material is one on which magnets stick well. Ferromagnetics includes metals such as iron, nickel, cobalt, gadolinium, and some alloys such as steel.
The pulse metal detector channel is designed to detect all types of metals.
